Can I bring my dog/horse/pig to the Parade and Festival ?
Sorry, while we love animals they are not allowed at the event.
Is the event “Family Friendly”?
Yes, the Mermaid Parade and Festival is fun for all ages.
We have Mermaid themed merchandise, can we become a vendor ?
Yes, signup to become a vendor using our online form.
Where can I park?
Aside from parking along Main Street, there will be parking available on the Island as well as at Ingles on 25/70. We have multiple shuttles that will bring you from the Ingles lot to Main Street and the island
Is the parade open to anyone?
Yes, there is no need to register for the parade, you just need to be in line on the island by 5pm
Will there be water play during the parade?
The water zone will be on Backstreet ONLY during the parade. Please DO NOT engage in water play as a spectator or as part of the parade anywhere other than on Backstreet!
Where is the Kid Zone?
Splash Island is located on Blannahassett Island, where there will be inflatables including a water inflatable. Please bring a towel and/or a change of clothes for kids
Is there food/beverages for sale?
Yes, there are multiple food vendors on the island, as well as in the merchant lots on Main Street. We also have our amazing restaurants and bars open on Main Street!
How long is the wait for shuttles?
On average the wait time is 20 minutes, but times may vary depending on weather and amount of visitors
What happens if it rains?
The event is rain or shine

Are their bathroom facilities?
Yes, there are Port-O-Johns available on the island, as well as on Main Street near the Courthouse
What time does the event start?
The event begins at 11am with all of our arts and crafts vendors ready to showcase their works, as well as live music at the Courthouse. All of our amazing restaurants, bars, and merchants on Main Street are also open and celebrating all day! The parade begins at 6pm, the Seafood competition is 1pm – 3pm, and the After party is from 8pm – 10pm
Is there live music?
Yes! There will be live music at the courthouse steps all day long, as well as at the after party
Where is the Seafood Competition and what time does it start?
On the Island under the big tent, and it begins at 1pm
How do I become a competitor in the Seafood Competition?

Where is the after party and when does it start?
It will be on the Island starting at 8pm, with food and beverages available for purchase
Can i walk around town with an adult beverage?
No! Consumption of adult beverages are allowed in designated areas only! You will be cited by the Marshall PoliceCLick
